Sources & copyright

Different material, different provenance

The working bank contains supplied NBME/other examination-related material alongside separately labeled original practice and AI-assisted teaching. A supplied file, compiler label or question style alone does not prove authenticity, a release year, permission to republish or an official grading key.

We retain source identifiers and distinguish provided explanations from AI-written teaching. Questions with unresolved source or answer provenance are held out of scored practice when identified. We do not represent every item as an authenticated NBME question.

Rights are not created by a disclaimer

Third-party copyrights, trademarks and other rights remain with their owners. Free access, educational purpose, attribution, AI editing and a non-affiliation notice do not by themselves establish a license to republish examination material.

Public release of third-party material requires an appropriate rights basis. A general reporting mailbox is not a substitute for that review. We do not claim that every supplied source is licensed, that every use is fair use, or that all AI-assisted material has the same legal status.

No blanket Creative Commons, public-domain or redistribution license is granted for this mixed bank. Any specific license must identify the material it actually covers.

Examination integrity

Do not submit or request leaked, confidential or recalled examination content. Do not use this project to obtain an unfair examination advantage or violate an examination provider’s rules. Public sample availability does not automatically grant permission to host copies elsewhere.

Relevant official information includes NBME’s terms and exam conduct guidance.

Report a rights or content concern

Email openmedicalprep@gmail.com with the page URL or question ID, identification of the material or work, your contact details and authority to report it, a clear explanation of the concern, and the action you request. Include supporting links or documentation where appropriate. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

We review reports and may restrict or remove material while a concern is assessed. For a formal legal notice, include the information required by applicable law and make only accurate statements you are authorized to make.

This is a general contact channel. No registered DMCA-agent status or statutory safe-harbor protection is claimed. The U.S. Copyright Office explains the separate legal requirements.

Attribution and ownership questions

If a source attribution is wrong, a notice is missing, or you need information about a particular item’s permission status, contact openmedicalprep@gmail.com. A source citation is provenance information, not a claim that its owner endorses this project.

This cloud edition provides available question text, explanations, source references and reviewed essential figures. Full source PDF downloads and original page scans are not hosted. This access limit does not establish publication rights or remove the need to assess source authenticity.
